Hong Kong, China 2009. Part I
Oktober 11th, 2009
I was commissioned for some work (not on this blog) in Hong Kong in September, this is the first part from two. I Stayed 2 weeks in Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island, with days off in Kowloon and Macau. This was my first time in Asia, needless to say it was overwhelming in all ways!
Digital and Colornegative images are mixed here, the first person who figures out at least 2 analog images gets a free 20×30 print of choice for free!
For a photographer the adventure almost beginns at the airport :)

Klafferkessel
August 9th, 2009
I took a walk on the wild side, no not a walk i rather should say some serious hiking trip in the Schladminger Tauern the last 3 days. The area i exactly wanted to reach was the so called Klafferkessel in about 2300m high.
I startet at the Parkplatz Riesachfälle (1050m) and made my way through Gollinghütte (1641m). I have missed the sign to Klafferkessel so after a short break i climbed the Gollingscharte (2326m). That was the first time i really was happy to be on my own there ;) It was allready about 19:00 and the weight of my 17 kg backpack left the first traces. So i went the way back to Gollingwinkel. I was happy to find a really nice place for my tent very quick.
After some hours of sleep i got up at 5:30 to make my way to Greifenberg (2618m) this time the right direction. It took me about 3 hours to climb up, there where lots of other hikers aswell so we enjoyed the amazing view from the top over the Klafferkessel area for about 20 minutes. It was also the first time for me to be on 2600 above sealevel on my own!
All the way down you have the wonderful landscape in front of you, thats why I have made the decision to walk from the Gollinghütte and not the other direction. So i kept my eyes on spotting for a new place to build up my tent and my stay there till the next morning. After resting for a few hours I discovered the area for some places to take my pictures.
I had a real calm second night in the mountains, no wind, nothing but silence. I got up early at 4:30 to catch the first sunlight. Overnight it totally cleared up so i expected best weather conditions for the next day, but also no clouds. Which is not so good for the kind of pictures i wanted to take. But it is not all about photography..
My place for the second night at about 4:45
also the sheeps watched the sunrise over the mountains..

All in all it was a great trip!

Alte Donau
Februar 16th, 2009
I had the great idea of visiting the area Alte Donau in winter, which means no people just what they left over a couple of winter months. I need to come back here, there are some nice frames left.
Taken with the Nikon D700+28/2.8 some Mamiya 7 frames maybe later.
On the way there, near U2 Schottentor
